Compassion in the Midst of Life: Staying Open During the Holidays

This week’s 7-minute guided meditation invites you to practice compassion right where life is happening — in the middle of full days, tender emotions, shifting energy, and the natural complexity of the season.

Rather than asking you to rise above the holidays or push through what you’re feeling, this meditation offers a quiet pause to meet yourself with kindness exactly as you are. You’ll be guided to soften into the breath, sense the support beneath you, and create gentle space around the heart — without forcing openness or warmth.

This practice is especially supportive if you’re feeling:

  • emotionally tender or overwhelmed

  • fatigued or stretched thin

  • pulled between connection and the need for rest

  • unsure how to stay present without overextending

Compassion here is not about doing more.
It’s about doing less with greater care.

Let this meditation be a reminder that kindness can show up in small, practical ways — through pacing, permission, and allowing yourself to be human.
